he Ume- and Vindelalven water management association is a non-profit association where the members mainly belong to municipal water and sewage facilities, water regulation companies, industries and fish farms with discharges to the two rivers. The members' need to be able to follow any changes in the Ume and Vindelälven water quality in the long term has led to a coordination of the recipient surveys under the auspices of the water management association.
