The Ships and Embedded Systems (NSE) unit is an engineering unit designed to carry out construction, modernisation and evolution projects for Ifremer's ships and their scientific equipment. Its objective is to maintain the infrastructure at a high level of performance and services, and to adapt to the changing needs of the user scientific community.
The unit's missions concern the entire vessel and the overall integration of equipment, in particular: scientific equipment, hardware computer equipment made available to scientists and operators on board vessels, 'real time' software, software for processing delayed data acquired at sea, and transmission equipment (in particular by satellite).
