OSU STAMAR is an Observatory for the Sciences of the Universe and a component of Sorbonne University under the joint supervision of Sorbonne University and CNRS. It brings together all the research structures housed in Sorbonne University's 3 marine stations, promoting interdisciplinarity and complementary activities:
- the Villefranche Sea Institute (/report/5041)
- the Oceanological Observatory of Banyuls (/report/1015)
- the Roscoff Marine Station (/report/521)
It supports the implementation of the series of coastal and deep-sea ocean observations deployed in the 3 marine stations, the creation of databases and access to the data produced, and their scientific exploitation. It promotes the development of a common strategy for the development of observation activities between the 3 stations.
