EMSEA is a network of marine (science) educators acting as one voice across Europe and beyond. Our shared vision is a society of ocean literate citizens who recognise the vital importance of the ocean, working together to ensure it is sustained for future generations. Our mission is to act as a hub for the European marine education community to promote and deliver ocean literacy across society by working with scientists, teachers, policy makers and the public.
EMSEA is a membership organisation. Our assocation represents academia, researchers, NGO's, formal (schools) and informal (science) education institutes, engaged to increase ocean literacy in society. As experts in ocean education, we help to develop training, share messages with the learning community, and bring people together on marine-related topics.
