- The Laboratory of Sciences of Climate and Environment (LSCE) is a mixed unit of research CEA-CNRS created in January 1998 by the fusion of the Center of Low Radioactivities and the Laboratory of Climate and Environement Modeling. Within the federation of laboratories of Paris area which constitutes the Institute Pierre Simon Laplace, the activity of LSCE is centered on the study of the mechanisms of climate evolution and of the external environment of the Earth.
