- The National Administration "Romanian Waters" manages the waters of the public domain of the state and the infrastructure of the National Water Management System consisting of accumulation lakes, flood protection dams, canals, inter-basin diversions, water intakes and other specific works, as well as infrastructure national systems for hydrological, hydrogeological and quality monitoring of water resources in its heritage, in order to know and manage the country as a whole, surface and groundwater resources.
