- The Fisheries Service collects and manages recreation fishing data for annual catches and weights or lengths of catches of the Baltic Sea species (cod, salmon, eel and eel) only, and releases of fish in the Baltic Sea and inland waters of Lithuania, as well as for any type of fishing, incidental catches of birds, mammals, reptiles and species protected by Union legislation and international agreements (including cases where there has been no such occasional by-catch), recorded on board scientific monitoring fishing vessels (if any) or recorded by the fishermen themselves in logbooks; and the data on which Union fishing vessels operate in Union waters and outside Union waters.
