- In 2007 the University of Rostock established the Department for "Maritime Systems" (MTS)
as a focal point across faculties, with the aim to bundle academic
research of maritime systems. The department is part of the
Inderdisciplinary Faculty (INF) and thereby a central element of the
long-term development concept of the university.
