Resulting from the CNRS new organization in November 2009, the Institute of Ecology and Environment (INEE) of the CNRS aims at promoting and facilitating world-class basic research in global ecology, conducted by a network of research units in the fields of ecology and environment including biodiversity and interaction between humans and its environments.
