Established in 1992 under the aegis of the Ministry of the Sea, National Institution des Invalides de la Marine (ENIM), national organizations representing marine fisheries and marine farming, shellfish and sea transport, the Maritime Institute of Prevention is a national nonprofit that provides a mission of prevention of occupational maritime hazards and of improvement of living and working conditions for the benefit of seafarers. The IMP intervenes in various areas of activities: fishing, transport (passenger and freight), ports (dredging, towing, mooring, pilotage), offshore, marine farming. Its missions are organized around three themes: ANALYSIS security systems work, ACCOMPANY construction projects; AWARENESS professionals and partners.
