- Formerly Marseille autonomous Port. The Port of Marseille Fos is the first French port, the first port in the Mediterranean and the third largest oil port. It positions itself as a general port handling all types of goods: hydrocarbons and liquid bulk (oil, gas and chemicals), cargo (containers and other packaging), dry bulk (ores and cereals). The Port also receive the traffic of passengers (scheduled and cruises to Corsica, Algeria and Tunisia).
