Established in 1991, the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences (SEOS) was the first in Canada to combine the disciplines of earth and ocean sciences in one program and to focus on earth system science. Specialities in geology, geophysics, geography, oceanography and atmospheric sciences have been integrated into a single school.
The SEOS faculty are active in thirteen distinct research groups, engaging in research covering the full geoscience spectrum from acoustical oceanography to climate modelling.
