Biological Station Drøbak is a marine biological field station founded the year 1894. It is part of the Department of Biology at the University of Oslo. The research station (called Biologen) has standard and advanced equipment for basic research in aquatic biology, and accommodation for 8 students/researchers. The research vessel "Bjørn Føyn" along with smaller boats are located to the station. The conference and teaching center Tollboden" is from 1858, and has been part of the field station since 1962. It has conference facilities, student laboratories and accommodation for 22 people.
