The Geological Survey of Montenegro is a governmental institution implementing geological exploration projects of particular interest to the Ministry of Economy. It was established on 1945.
It is engaged on the market for realization of all kinds of geological projects. In the field of mineral resources, it is specialized on metallogenic, geochemical and other thematic maps, planning and realization of mineral resources exploration works, creation of complex geological studies and maps for giving the concessions for mineral resources.
There are four departments in GSM - Department of regional geology, mineral resources and mineral resources concessions; Department of engineering geology, hydrogeology, geotechnics and water concessions; Department of mining works and research drilling and Department of legal, financial and human resources affairs - they are all legally acting as one.
GSM is participating in several national, regional and international projects.
