The purpose of the Department of Inland Waters is to promote
knowledge, to contribute to research, to help in problem solving for the
development and protection of the aquatic environment, as well as, to
disseminate its research results to the general public, and to
contribute to a better quality of life.
Research Orientation
The research objective of the Dept. is to conduct environmental research
on inland water resources. The latter are defined as the natural,
artificial, or heavily modified surface and ground water systems.
