- The Laboratory of Zoology belongs to the Department of Biology
of the University of Athens and operates as an educational and research
institution. Fields of its particular interest are Marine Biology and Ecology,
Aquaculture, Immunology, Histology, Embryology, and Anthropology. In the field
of Marine Biology and Ecology scientists are involved in studies of planktonic
and benthic communities, population dynamics, and physiology of selected
