- The Islamic Republic of Iran Meteorological Organization (IRIMO) is the State Meteorological Service. The organizational structure of IRIMO is consisting of a president and three deputies:
- Deputy of Techniques and Operations
- Deputy of Research and Training
- Deputy of Administration and Logistics
There are 28 provincial offices which manage regional meteorological activities.
Research activities in IRIMO are focused on nine branches and they are managed or programmed in Tehran .
Each provincial office has established one up to three applied meteorological research center(s) to meet local requirements based on economic, physical and geographical specifications. The nine centers are as
follows :
1- National Center for Climatology
2- Atmospheric Chemistry and Air Pollution Research Center
3- Oceanic and Atmospheric Science Center
4- Agrometeorological Research Center
5- Synoptic and Dynamic Meteorology Center
6- Physical Meteorology and Cloud Seeding Center
7- Hydrometeorological Research Center
8- Aeronautical Meteorology Research Center
9- Atmospheric Sonding Research Center
