Sea Systems supports scientific surveys worldwide for the UK’s oceanographic research centres and Universities. This involves: typically using eight ships of different nationalities, for about 35 surveys annually, all supported by 60 staff using £25m of equipment, and operated from Southampton. The science surveys are undertaken across all the worlds major oceans, also ‘in and under’ the ice of the Arctic and Antarctic.
